It is with great pleasure that we can now announce the first details around this year’s Software Circus conference that will take place in Amsterdam on August 31st, September 1st and September 2nd 2016!
Tickets have been selling like proverbial hot cakes with only the date on the site so who knows what’s going to happen now. Get yours before it’s too late as space is strictly limited!
We’re thrilled to have Kelsey Hightower back to keynote this year who will be removing some confusion around the IaaS vs CaaS vs Paas debate. His ‘Tetris talk’ from last year had the whole crowd in stitches and was a huge hit on Twitter during and after the conference.
We will be announcing more speakers very soon. If you’d like to speak but haven’t submitted a talk yet it’s not too late. Check the CFP here!
The response from sponsors this year has been amazing and has enabled us to both extend our diversity programme (see below) and to go even further with the circus tents, confetti canons, fire-breathing robots and much more.
Renewed diversity drive!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors we’ve been able to re-run and extend our diversity policy from last year. If you believe that you belong to an under represented group in the world of software you can attend the conference for free. Check out the full details here.
This year’s chosen charity
Wikipedia is an outstanding example of what happens when you a) digitise something and then b) make it free. Wikipedia has single handedly changed the way that children in both the developing and developed world learn. The tech community takes advantage of Wikipedia on an almost daily basis. This is why we are sure that many in the community will join in supporting us in this drive. We will have more details about how you can get involved nearer the time.
That’s it for now. Any questions, you can always reach us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
